1. Controller

2. What data we process

  • No user accounts. PriceLayer has no registration, no sign-in and no personal profiles.
  • Click counting (anonymous). When you click an outgoing offer link, we count on the server, anonymously, which offer (merchant, product/station identifier) was clicked via which channel (website or AI assistant). No IP addresses, cookies or other personal identifiers are stored.
  • Server logs. Technical logs are produced to prevent abuse and for debugging; they contain no persistent personal analysis.
  • Price observations (product data). When an item is checked, we internally record its product identifier together with the price and the time. This serves data quality only: a price that contradicts the last one observed is withheld rather than served. These records contain no link to you, no IP address and no association with a request; they are never published and are deleted after 30 days at the latest.
  • Reach measurement (anonymous, cookieless). To improve the service we collect aggregated usage statistics (e.g. pages viewed) with a self-hosted instance of the software Umami. No cookies are set, no cross-device profiles are built and no data is shared with third parties; IP addresses are not stored.

3. No tracking cookies

We set no tracking cookies and embed no external analytics or advertising services. Reach measurement is anonymous via a self-hosted, cookieless instance (see point 2). No cookie banner is therefore required.

4. Recipients / external sources

  • Tankerkönig / MTS-K – source of fuel prices. For a fuel search your search parameters (location/coordinates) are sent to the Tankerkönig interface for the query.
  • Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) – to convert a place name/postcode into coordinates.
  • Awin and connected merchants – source of product prices (feeds). When you click a purchase link you are forwarded to the respective merchant via the affiliate network (affiliate link).

5. Affiliate links

Outgoing purchase links are marked “(PriceLayer affiliate link)”. If you buy via such a link, PriceLayer may earn a commission; this incurs no extra cost for you. Results are sorted solely by price or relevance, never by commission.

6. Retention periods

  • Anonymous click counts: aggregated, non-personal, kept indefinitely for statistical purposes.
  • Technical server logs: short-term, then deleted on rotation.
